SENIOR GIRLSStyling Guide
This is your best tool to help you prepare for your senior session before we have our consultation call two weeks out from your session. This guide will help guide you in answering:
• What to wear
• Where to shoot
• Hair & makeup thoughts • Items to bring on session

Locations
I am exclusively a natural light photographer, and there are many areas around Fort Worth that we can go during our session. I recommend 2 locations close in proximity to one another. We only have 90 minutes let’s spend it shooting, not driving!
THINGS TO CONSIDER:
Choose 2 distinctly different environments so your gallery has variety.
At least one location should have some form of architectural elements (benches, rocks, stairs, sidewalks, etc) which make sitting, leaning, and lying down possible.
The locations you choose are actually very personal. When thinking this through, consider what kind of person you are. Maybe we shoot on a crisp golf course? An urban space with reflective buildings? A museum? There is no wrong answer! See my insta, old yearbooks, and my locations inspiration link for visual reference.
What to wear
How many changes do I get?
3 outfit changes. (If you have a 4th you love, let’s do it, but just remember, time spent changing is time spent not taking photos)
Where do I change?
I provide a pop up/privacy tent for you to easily change without walking back to your car. Some locations have a bathroom we can use but not all.
What kind of clothes are best?
Let your clothes reflect your personality but let’s make sure YOU, not the clothes, are the star of the show! We will discuss your outfits before the shoot, but here are some things to keep in mind:
Solids and small overall patterns work best. Some large patterns can be
distracting and detract from the senior
Pick colors that let you pop off the background. For example, I would avoid
wearing green on a golf course
SWITCH UP HEM LENGTHS. Pick something with legs (jeans, jumpsuits,
shorts), something long, and something short. (Wearing all long dresses will
limit what we can do with posing.)
Make sure you have room to move around. By wearing clothes that are
not overly fitted, you ensure the ability to get into as many different poses as possible.
THINGS TO CONSIDER

I recommend having all of your outfits, jewelry, shoes, (which I’ll often have you take off), all together and ready for each change.
If one of your outfits is a jeans combo, I recommend beginning your session in those. It can be hard to tug on jeans when you’re a little sweaty.

Blotting pads (Texas summers and fall can be quite warm). Here is a link to some blotting cloths one of my makeup artists swears by!
A brush
Lip gloss
Flip flips or a good pair of walking shoes so you don’t have to trudge around in heels
Water in a closable top (Stanley style cups tend to spill)
