Process and Pricing

STEP ONE: SCHEDULING YOUR SESSION

In order to reserve your session you will pay a session fee of $300. Booking is super simple and done all on-line through a link that I will send you.

  • My sessions are set at the times of day when light is optimal, at sunrise.

  • I only shoot during the week Monday through Friday all summer and some mornings before school and weekends once school starts.

  • Weather can affect our session. My rule of thumb is “no sun, no shoot.” Light is everything in photography. So as we approach our session, if the weather calls for rain, heavily overcast skies, out of control wind, or extreme temperatures (heat indexes in excess of 100) we will have to reschedule. While disappointing, good light, a calm breeze and minimized sweating make an enormous difference in the outcome of your images. Should the need arise, I will be in touch with a "plan B" the week of our session.

STEP TWO: PREPARATION

  • After you book, you will receive a confirmation email with the preparation guide attached to that email. This guide has been created and refined over the years based on experience, so it typically answers most of your questions, but I will cover any additional questions you may have in our consultation call about two weeks before our session.

  • Two weeks prior to our session, I will reach out to you to schedule a consult call. In that call we will discuss wardrobe choices; we will nail down your session location choices, and cover any questions you have for me and how I recommend you get ready for your session.

  • Again, if weather issues arise, I will get in touch with you in the two or so days prior to our session. No worries, we’ll figure that out if necessary. I would never let one of my seniors fall through the cracks because of weather.

STEP THREE: THE SESSION ITSELF

  • The day of our session, please plan to spend a full 90 minutes shooting, and overlap for travel and changes, though I will try my best to keep us on schedule for best lighting.

  • How many outfits? I’ve found that the sweet spot is 3 outfits, but if there is a 4th you adore, let’s do it!

  • Locations? I recommend 2 locations, and no more than 3. I will send over recommendations to consider once you are booked.

  • We are going to have so much fun! It is imperative to me to lift my seniors confidence and make them feel great about themselves. They should feel like like super stars when they leave me. Even my boys!

STEP FOUR: THE REVEAL

Within a couple of weeks of your session, you’ll receive an email from me letting you know that your photos are ready. Once you’ve had a change to see them, and marvel for a bit, you’ll let me know which collection you want to purchase. After that you’ll have a full month to select the specific digital files and print items you want to use to fill that collection… zero pressure! I will have samples of most of the physical products I offer in my store when we are at our session, if you would like to see them, or I’m more than happy to set up at time to have you come by home office to take a look!

MAKE YOUR IMAGES A KEEPSAKE

What you do with your images is perhaps the most important aspect to consider when you are planning for our session. It is all too often overlooked and delayed! All that time and money invested deserve a better return than photos gathering dust on a hard drive somewhere. You’ll never get the feeling looking at your images on a screen that you do when seeing them on your wall, or when flipping though the pages of an album, so I include a substantial print credit with every collection. Below are some examples of items that will be available to your gallery:
